CellSonic
The CellSonic™ machine is a lithotripter suitable for use in hospitals by surgeons treating bones, wounds and sports injuries. Linked to an X-ray and ultrasound scanner it could break kidney stones. A sudden bang is made by a spark plug and the acoustic shockwave is focused by the parabola in the head. CellSonic™ have miniaturised the lithotripter, made it safe for use in beauty salons and reduced the price to reach a world wide market for beauty treatments.

The electronics are housed in a vertical cylinder. A mains electric cable comes in at the bottom and acoustic shockwaves come out at the top. The shockwaves are made by an electric pulse in the head at the end of a flexible cord. Eventually the shock head will wear out and has to be replaced. The head, the connecting cable and the plug that connects to the top of the machine are replaced as one unit. This head can not be refurbished and there is an electronic chip recognition to ensure that the correct heads are fitted to the machine as part of the safety system. Nothing in the machine can be repaired. Should there be a problem, the local distributor will supply a replacement machine and this warranty applies for ten years.
Treatment Procedure
Select the area to treat.
Select the head. The 5 mm head will chop away at fat under the cellulite layer. The infinity head will break up cellulite to leave a smooth skin.
Apply CellSonic™ gel to the skin and some to the shock head so that the shockwaves will pass through the gel into the body. If there is an air gap the shockwaves will have no effect.
Position the patient so that the shock head can be held vertically over the area to be treated.
To switch on the machine the therapist will first study the technical manual and follow the instructions given on a training course by the local distributor for CellSonic™
The therapist switches on and the machine makes a bang four times a second. Keep the head gently moving for only a few millimetres in a circular motion. Do not press the head down onto the patient. There is no need to press. The machine is doing all the work. The machine will stop on its own after a set number of shocks, usually 1,000. Expect to apply 4,000 shocks in one session.
Move to an adjacent area,apply more gel and continue the treatment.
A treatment session will usually last one hour. The total area treated depends on how intensively the therapist decides to work on certain areas.
After treatment, wipe off surplus gel and apply CellSonic™ cream. Both the gel and the cream contain skin tightening agents so that the skin will sit smoothly where fat has been released.
Use the CellSonic™ cream daily and regularly to condition and tighten the skin.
Return to the salon for a further course of treatment the following week.
Remember that the treatment can only release the trapped fat and cellulite. To remove it from the body it is best to exercise and this advice applies to any treatment and should be a fundamental in every person's life.
